Facebook Case Study: BWS

A recently published case study for liquor merchants BWS details a successful social media campaign with an end goal to drive awareness and in-store sales of a newly launched range of products.

Using Facebook’s photo and video ads, BWS was able to drive demand for the Crown Royal Premium Canadian Whisky beverages by capturing their target audience primarily via Facebook’s Mobile News Feed and also on the Desktop News Feed.

The ads resonated with younger males aged 25-34 – a typically highly fragmented audience that is difficult to reach through traditional media channels.

As a result of this tailored campaign, there was a 12% lift in product awareness and 14% higher sales than a direct market competitor.

These statistics demonstrate how powerful Facebook advertising can be for driving ad recall, product awareness, purchase intent and boosting sales.

Need some more convincing? Thanks to Facebook, BWS successfully targeted more than 3 million 18- to 34-year-old males, and also saw these great results:

• 4-point lift in ad recall among 25- to 34-year-olds (3-point lift among all age groups)
• 8-point lift in trial intent among 25- to 34-year-olds
