The death of Canadian Actor, Cory Monteith, who died in a hotel in Vancouver of a suspected drug overdose, shocked Glee fans. Searches spiked on Cory Monteith’s death and fellow Glee Actor and girlfriend, Lea Michelle. Searches were also on Twitter and social media to wish condolences.
Royal Baby
July also saw the birth of a Royal Baby with Kate Middleton giving birth to Prince George on the 22 July. Searches on Kate, Royal baby names and news of a Royal Baby born were also high. Welcome to the world George!
The Ashes 2013
The Ashes 2013 has been top of searches with Australians going online to check out the cricket score, watch the Ashes live and see Australia play against England.

July is the time to lodge your tax return with searches rising on eTax 2013 download for PC and Mac, ATO and Tax Calculator. Searches for Centrelink online service and login also increased.
Le Tour De France
The annual Tour De France aired on SBS with searches, particularly at the beginning of July, increasing on Le Tour de France and Australian cyclist, Cadel Evans.
