Hot Searches – August 2012

Internet Search history for August 2012 continued to centre around the London Olympics and the record breaker Usain Bolt. An improvement on last year Hot Searches – August 2011 for London focusing on the Olympics as opposed to the London riots that took place in early August 2011.

Soundwave Festival 2013

This month the line up announcement for Soundwave Festival 2013 has seen Australians going online to search for tickets to Soundwave in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in particular.

Big Brother

Big Brother is back on channel 9 and this year Australian’s have been going online to search for Big Brother on Facebook, to watch Big Brother live and for secrets of the Big Brother housemates, in particular housemate George. Are you a fan?

London Olympics 2012

The London Olympics continued to be popular into August with the medal tally count being the most searched term along with the medal tally for Australia in particular. The popular Jamaican Olympic medallist, Usain Bolt, was in the top search terms for August with Australians searching for videos of Bolt’s Olympic 100m and 200m sprints to gold! Australian Olympians came 10th in the medal tally winning 7 gold, 16 silver and 12 bronze.

Slender Game

Parsec Production’s Slender man game was released in June 2012 and has gained popularity this month with the release of Slender 2 – Sanatorium. Gamers have been searching to download and play Slender online as well as search for the horror game for Mac computers. Can you avoid Slender Man?
