Wanted man and Wikileaks Founder, Julian Assange has also been top of news searches over 2012 who currently resides in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.  Austrian skydiver, Felix Baumgartner also made headlines when he skydived from 39km breaking through the Earth’s stratosphere and reaching a top speed of 1342 km per hour. This amazing jump, had the world searching online and on YouTube to replay the moment Felix took the plunge!

Sport

The London Olympics was a key moment of 2012 with Australians searching online in the lead up to the Olympics to find out about the oepning ceremony, follow their favourite Olympians and and keep count of the medal tally. Hot Searches – July 2012

Australia’s most searched TV show for 2012 was The Voice with judges including Keith Urban and Delta Goodrem who also made it to the top searched celebrities over the year Hot Searches – April 2012.
